I always preferred coffee houses or quiet restaurants for first dates, because I hate loud, boisterous, drunken crowds… and I do want to hear all the truly insane things she is going to say in case they need to “red flagged”.
Granted, I’ve never been on what one would call a “first date”. It’s more of a “follow up” date to us having fallen into bed for a long weekend and decided to make a go of being involved and now we’ve got to do the awkward dating thing…
.. or like with my first and second ex’s, we were living together as roommates and fell into bed… and just decided to be a “couple” as we were friends before. It’s just they were batshit insane as romantic partners where they were completely fine as platonic friends.
Smart, looks like he’s had experience with this sort of thing.
