I’m not sure of the context of your context. I’ll take a couple of cracks at it:
#1 “Halloween Store” is a reference to a place someone shops for cheap, flimsy, ill-fitting Halloween costumes. So Princess is insulting the girl’s attire.
#2 Narrative context: Princess’s previously-unassailable status visa-a-vi the Geek Mob is undermined for the first time by the the new arrival (The interviewee).
Maybe I’m just not getting it (it could be I just don’t understand “mean girl’s vibe”) but is Mei supposed to be wearing something cheap and trashy, or is DeeDee just upset because Mei’s outfit looks nice but is somewhat Sailor Senshi-esque?
I mean, kudos to Mei for looking professional while still rocking the Sailor Moon mini-skirt.
Also, whatever it is that blocks VPNs from posting on the site doesn’t always work. Like it occasionally allows a post through (like today) and then after posting I remember and then have to check to make sure my VPN didn’t turn off on it’s own (it has once or twice and failed to restart when it crashed).
So today, the site’s VPN blocker failed in it’s duties and allowed one us ‘low-life torrenters’ through to post! 😛
evileeyore, Wordfence is the security plugin that’s been running on Unearth & GF years and years… with default settings. There’s no setting that specifically targets VPNs… which I also use to visit here too when I’m traveling. It’s possible that the server is doing the blocking. IDK. I’m up for fix suggestions.
It’s Princess, not Deedee, who’s claiming Mei is dressing trashy
All the boys whom she usually has twisted around her little finger are giving Mei all the attention she’s claimed as hers by right
So I feel she might not be feeling nice towards Mei right now
Especially since she seems to have waited in the cubicle area just outside for the entire interview, when she has been never seen to enter it before Mei turned up
Though this particular Princess isn’t openly groping her female co-workers at the christmas office party in front of the Managing Director and Chief Accountant (yet)
I saw it happen since I was sitting at the next table over
It turned out she had gotten so drunk one of the lads had to escort her home to her boyfriend’s house to make sure she got home safely
If she does get hired, I’ll bet sometime in the first week she’ll come running in in the morning at the last minute with one arm still struggling to get into her jacket and a piece of toast held in her mouth.
