One of the things I hated about working in video game development was game testing. Yet people seem to think it’s a job where you just sit around and play games all day. I hope to disabuse readers of that notion with a storyline in Geek Fortress… sometime in the future.
Thanks for the link, Frank! Now imagine that following the first panel of that comic strip, the second panel was solid black with notes being added to a database, and then go back to the first panel again… and again… and again.
Funny, even though they solicit the bug reports, when you submit one, they see it as a criticism and freak out. Even better when they claim they can’t reproduce the problem and close the report. /smh/

Any time something goes wrong, it’s the Game Tester’s fault for not finding it.
I don’t know what I’m talking about, but I do know blame.
In my experience… I was usually to blame… and continue to be.

I used to try to be helpful in open source software circles by submitting bug reports. It rarely went well. 🙁
