Pretty sure a car battery could run a regular toaster for awhile (with an inverter) and since a car battery is also rechargeable you could even recharge it… useful if you find yourself needing to make toast during frequent power outages.
I sure you could even use a smaller battery, I just jumped to a car battery because I know it’ll work… but so would any halfway decent UPS.
